I'm looking to buy a Spyderco UKPK knife but have noticed these can vary in price from £65 to £85 for the same spec knife. Is there anything I should be wary of before buying from the cheapest one advertised? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Even the BD1N is good stuff, and easy to sharpen, isn't that the base steel? The steel upgrades are for specific purposes, want an extra, extra long edge at the sacrifice of some sharpening ease? S110V. Want a total rustPROOF steel? LC200N.

BD1N is also very stainless. First Spyderco purchase?

I looked at a Delica 4 online and the blade was stamped VG-10 but I can't see that mentioned in the list you kindly added. Is it a correct marking?

Buy from a reputable dealer such as Heinnie Haynes, Flashaholics, Moonraker etc.. or Knives and Tools (in Holland) and you'll get the real thing.

Theres a few UK suppliers who aren't particularly reliable, I'm in the UK.

Oh, I was talking about the UKPK, which is USA made, that is correct on the Delica, VG10. That steel is used in the base version in the Japanese-made knives, the Delica and that series (Dragonfly, Endela, Endura, Police, Civilian, Matriarch).

Thanks for the help. One of the other Spyderco knives was the Delica 4 but again the prices vary so widely. Two of the companies you mentioned have this on £90 and £109 while on Amazon it's only £63.
From that can I take it the one on Amazon is a fake? I did ask the question on Amazon if the Spyderco knife was a genuine boxed product and had five replies saying it was. It's so confusing trying not to get ripped off.

You may get a bargain I'm not saying they aren't about but me personally if I want a knife I'll pay the extra and only buy from a retailer I can 100% trust, those I've mentioned you can.

Moonraker have it for 85 I've dealt with them/Tony many times, it's a one man band well known in the knife community he's a lovely guy.
