Côte-d'Or Pattern Axe????

It has been a while since I acquired that head. I believe I finally found something that resembles that axe pattern.

She's a beauty. Great condition. Rare to find one of those stateside.

It seems to be missing the "step" behind the toe, going towards the handle, that's seen in the catalog.

It rather reminds me about the axes made for South America.

All axes made for South-America were using slip-fit handles. Can you guess how yours is supposed to be hanged?

Great video!! I was fully focused in the process of the blacksmith, loved his forge and only remembered why I was watching the video after it was over. That's a great time right there. Beautiful work.
