This isn't so much a review, but more of a brief overview with pictures.

I recently picked up the Coronado after reading on edcforums about the new line of Camelbak packs. My previous bags were a Maxped Pygmy Falcon 2 and a TNF Microbyte. The Pygmy Falcon is a great pack, but it looked a bit too "tactical" for my work environment and it's a bag that screams for attention if I left it on my seat while I parked the car. The Microbyte is also a great pack, and honestly did everything I wanted it to do, but I tend to read a lot of hardcover books and sometimes it was a bit tight getting it back into the pack, at least without unzipping the pack all the way first.

Enter the Coronado. As soon as I took it out of the box, I was already enjoying this pack. It has a rather firm feel to it and holds its shape whether it has something inside it or not. It's not floppy, and almost has a similar feel to a case for sunglasses, flexible and rigid while still feeling like a soft fabric. It isn't so firm that it feels like a case, it still feels like a backpack, but it's a far cry from the floppy JanSport backpack feel, which is a plus imo.

It has a blend of subtle "tactical" features and the materials and color of a discrete regular Joe's backpack. It has adequate organization built in and a very useful empty space in the center which happens to fit a hardcover novel perfectly with room to spare. It does not have an external bottle holder, but does have a small flap/space for a bottle for carrying one inside the pack if you can spare the room.

The quality of materials and fit/finish of the product is great. It feels well made and looks the part. Here are some quick pictures I took outside with the new pack.
