I have a few Camelbaks including a HAWG. When I ordered the HAWG I hoped that it would be big enough for day trips and a light overnighter or two. When it arrived I was a little dissappointed, especially after I filled the bladder and realized that it pushed out into the cargo area reducing its carrying capacity.

About a week ago I was looking for a new camelbak for my son to upgrade his 70oz Thermobak. When I happened across a Talon at a good price so I ordered it for me.

It arrived last friday and I must say I am very very impressed with this pack, especially for the price $74. This pack is the pefect size for my needs as a daypack and light overnighters. The quality is outstanding. The design is fantastic keeping the pack tight to the body. IMO some of the other CBs are too large and too thick which makes it easy to get too much weight out away from your center of gravity.

One of the things that I was very pleasantly surprised with was the formable internal frame. I removed it and shaped it to the curves in my spine and now it fits perfectly.

If you are looking for a small pack check out the Talon!

I actually got 2 at that price because as soon as I saw what a great pack it was I turned around and ordered one for my Son.:D Shh it is a birthday present don't tell him;)

I got the first one off Ebay and the second I got from Rangerjoes.com. Unfortunately I think the special is done at Ranger Joes.:(

Really Ranger Joes had a good price? Astonishing! All kidding aside that looks like a nice little assault pack. Too bad they don't have any in their store. I have a mule and thermoback omega and they make the best hydration packs out there. I haven't had a chance to try out any of their actual packs, but may have to as they cost a lot less than some of my other packs.
