So, I was lucky enough to score a BK11 from
GeofS
and it was a neat compliment to my BK14s.
The blade stock is slightly thinner on these older neckers than the BK14 and the coating was smoother as well.
The sabre grind of the Camillus BK-11 makes it thicker near the upper tip than the BK14, which makes the tip strong, but significantly worse for poking / stabbing / drilling and also slicing.
On top of that, this particular BK11 had the tip ground / rounded off .
So I decided that I wanted to go all in on a little slicer with a pointer tip... So I ground in a clip point with a bit of a swedge and then stripped the blade and left it with a bit of a user patina on it.
My first time modifying a knife.
It's now a bit of a baby-bowie or a mini BK17, necker edition.
I honestly think that @Ethan Becker should bring out a tiny sabre ground clip point. Such a great, little pocket or neck EDC!
Whaddya think!?
