Can I tighten the blade on a beerlow?

Hi All,

Before taking it all apart and not being able to put it back together, I am wondering if there is a simple way to loosen or tighten (more tighten) the main blade on my Lionsteel beerlow? Is it as simple as tightening or loosening those two pairs of torx screws on the bolster or do I need to disassemble, not lose any parts, modify, and put it back together, all without messing it up?

Thanks for your advice, folks!

The torx screws only hold bolster and scales to the frame. You're looking at deeper disassembly.

I read in another thread that it was not actually possible to increase the friction of that blade pivot. Does anyone know if that is true or not? The one I have that's in question is just a little looser than I would like.

Alright, I found the right torx screwdriver at work and I took the plunge.

Looks like the scales are rather simple (which is good for customization!) But I need another sized torx driver to tighten the pivot. There's got to be another one in our lab somewhere.... 😉
