The title says it all. I want to buy snap-on torx after breaking super cheap sets. However I think they only go down to T7. I think I need T6 I can't recall. And if anyone can point me to snap-on or other good torx I don't see please do.

Thanks.

yes, most benchmades use only t6 and t10 (for pivots) i think some hk or older benchmades may use t7 but its less common, you average grip or 940 just need t6 and 10

Accurate. T-10 for the pivot, and T6 for handle and clip screws. Yes, some older models used the T7. I use Wiha drivers, which will take a beating without complaining.

I have everything from a T4 through a T25, part of the tools I have and use for other things. Just buy yourself the Benchmade Blue box, aka the Benchmade Warranty Voiding Box. ;)

I bought Craftsman torx drivers, if I break them they replace them. Only twisted one t6 bit in 10+ years, they really gooped the thread locker on that screw. Broke one handle, not related to its intended task, still completely functional for pivot screws.

BM uses a pretty stout thread locker, so be mindful of that. It's not hard to strip a T6 screw head. Heat up the area and use a quality torx driver like Wiha. Need firm downward pressure as well.

6, 8, and 10. That is all you need and that is what the Benchmade blue Torx set comes with.
