Intro:

Hi everyone, I thought I would start this thread to offer my services as a custom knife maker. I have been making knives and sheaths for about 2 years now, and have been constantly challenging myself and learning new skills. I currently specialize in making hunting knives, hidden tangs, full tangs, and some kitchen knives.

If you are from Canada and were thinking of having a custom knife made, but are hesitant to do cross border shopping, then I am your guy. No need to worry about Canada customs, or duty fees because I reside here in British Columbia. I will also deal with you in Canadian dollars to avoid the exchange rates on our declining dollar.

Hey, I don't discriminate either. I'll make knives for my brothers and sisters in the USA as well. I have shipped numerous knives over the border without a problem.

Materials:

I mainly use carbon steels. 1084, 15N20, 5160, and damascus. I also do stainless, and have used CPM-154 and S35vn.

I do my own heat treating with a digitally controlles Evenheat kiln.

For handles I mainly use stabilized wood blocks. I also use micarta, and antler.

Just send me a PM or email if you're interested in getting on the list.

Here is some of my work (check out my website in my sig for more examples):

Nice and very elegant knives, Alexander!
Can you make me a semi-hunter and semi-kitchen 4-knives set out of expertly hardened CMP-154?
It needs to be based on this lovely picture, but different sizes: close to 3", 4.5", 7" (Santoku) and 8".
So I could delete the Fallkniven CMT Super-Set I have placed in my wish list. It's made out of Lam.CoS.

Beautiful work man. That knife in the first picture is right up my alley. I may definitely be giving you a call for a commission.

Thanks Forblader. I can definitely help you out. Send me an email at Shane_o_ca at hotmail dotcom with your specs, and I can get started for you.

I do my own heat treating, using a Evenheat knife maker's kiln as well as Sub zero heat treat with stainless steels.

Grey Falcon my books are open right now. I have an order that is on hold for a couple of months, so I can get started right away on any other customs.
