very nice guys!

have you guys noticed the raised prices on the Queen canoe with D2 in amber stag? i remember i got mine maybe about a year ago for $45 shipped brand new and most places were selling them for around the same price. now they seem to be going for around $70-80! im glad i got mine when i did… it really was a steal for the price.

There was a time in the mid 1970s when my grail knife was a Case Stag Canoe, Pattern #52131, I believe. It took me 3 years to find one and also got a 62131 within a month of each other. Still have both.

I won this one right here in the Traditional Forum in a giveaway that neeman ran a while back. It was my first Canoe and I really like it and carry it a few times a month.
The secondary blade is very thin and really compliments the beefy main blade. Just a real nice package.

I think that Queen's Amber Stag Bone is some of the nicest looking there is. Here's mine after I gave the bolsters a satin finish and forced a patina.

I like that Buck too, Jeff.

I like canoes myself. Here is a picture of a couple of shell handled Case canoes:

and another small assemblage of canoes:

My latest, a China Buck yellow handled model:

and my avatar Mutz canoe after some use:

It's a great pattern for the pocket; most are a very handy size too and the broad thin spear and pen are terrific slicing blades.

Ah, there's the fleet! Did you add a few since the last posting of them? I still love the top Mutz.

Hi,

I used to have a couple more Canoes, but they found new homes with new admirers. I do have a Case family of Gunboat, Regular, and Butterbean sizes. The Gunboat often rides in a leather belt sheath come fall for hunting season. The wonderful thinness of the CV blades just amaze me. One of the very best slicers I have ever owned. And the little Butterbean is a fine dress knife. It's as much jewelery as tool.
