I recently saw a post by adammichael with some cool kant twist cantilever clamps with these big honkin' knobs on there. They usually come with either the spindly T-handles that you can't really crank down on, or the round brass handle that I haven't tried because they cost more and I'm a cheapo. Anyway, after seeing his, I was jealous, so I searched around on MSC, and these were pretty inexpensive. They sell the clamps, too - I think you'll want the 2" version that most knife suppliers carry. The knobs fit a 1/4" shaft pretty well.

I sawed off my T-handles, and these screwed right on. I plan to JB Weld them on permanently.

Here's a link to the actual clamps also: http://www.mcmaster.com/# item #: 5046A11

That's weird, it works from my email receipt. If you put this item number in, it should take you right to the knob: 6477K69

and this one for the clamps: 5046A11

BTW, there are other knob styles, if you're a maverick...

Yes, I went out to check, but they do read "KANT-TWIST" on the side. They have the copper hardware.
