Im looking for a small carabiner about maybe 2 inches or so in length. I want it for my keychain so I can clip it to my belt loop. I currently have one but its starting to get loose at the pivot. let me know if there are any sites that sell really small ones. thanks

dont know about sites, but REI has them i am sure, saw some like ya want last week, maybe they have a website??

dont think we have a REI around here, well at least that I know of. Ill look for their website, thanks.

I got mine at Ace Hardware. Also got a couple of the quick detach things for the key chain there too.

Wondering why the Berkeley Point stuff is so expensive?

The mini-clips I have on my flashlights are almost exactly the same size, shape, made from cast stainless, come from my local hardware store...and cost less than half the price, around $1.50

Edit: Ah, I see. The finish on those small things looks pretty good, as well as the nifty (just had to use this word today  )looking marking. But you could always do that stuff yourself (asides from beadblast, etc, unless someone in the area has one of those cabinets).

Most local hardware stores should, also.
You can either find these around the key machines at these stores or down the rope and chain aisle's. I know Walmart and most sporting goods stores carry small and large carabiners, too.

Home Depot has the single color ones for something like $.99

You can now get carabiners with built-in LED lights. I don't remember brand names but I think I even saw some at Big 5 the other day. (Oh no, now everyone knows that I occasionally stop by Big 5.)

They also carry one of the best made key chain and ID carabiners, too. Here is a direct link to the key chain carabiners they have.
OMEGA PACIFIC WEB SITE

You can order direct through them, too, as I have done many times in the past.

Edited: Or you can order through their direct supplier at MGEAR.COM

I would caution against Bison Designs. I bought a whole bunch of items from them - whistles, carabiners, spy capsules - and ending up returning most of it. IMHO, their stuff is absolute garbage.

I also agree about Bison Designs. Their annodize process is paper thin, and the colors fade after a few days in your pocket! Not worth the $$ at all...

I saw some small carabiners at Meijer and Wally World.

I agree that they scuff pretty easily, but the form factor is right for me and I'm not really worried about the cosmetics...do you have an alternate source for spy capsules?

I use a black diamond aluminum caribeener. It gets the job done and only cost about 3 bucks at Galyans.
