Carbon fiber VS titanium

cf with steel liners can generally be thinner and lighter. (keyword: generally. there can always be exceptions)

Feel and appearance is so subjective. CF can have different textures, some glassy smooth, some with more grip. TI is generally not too grippy unless it has a milled design in it or something, but it is not slippery feeling like stainless steel.

Ti has a natural "warmth" to it that I love, and the frame locks often "feel" sturdier and more quality than a liner lock, even if they are not.

cf doesn't do much for me. I don't dislike it, but I'd only go after a cf model if it had a steel or blade design I couldn't get in something else.

my current favorite is Ti framelock with a g10 scale on the one side. Nice mixture of grip and quality feel. Ti also wears in nicely in my opinion. After a bunch of pocket time the edges get worn shiny, the little dings and scratches from using it hard look great IMO. Like a light patina for your handle imo.

IMO they are the top two handle materials. G10 is grippier but also can shred your pockets. The CF scale on the Spydero Sage and Gayle Bradley is grippy and gives good traction. Personally CF and TI together is as good as it gets!

2 of my favorites.
CF feels "lighter" to me, Ti tends to feel beefy and strong.
Both strike me as premium materials for a tough and strong yet elegant and attractive piece.
Textured CF on my Sage1 and stonewashed Ti on my P-38 EDC both offer good traction, though not as grippy as textured G10.
