So I got the list today for things I should have when I head down range next month and on that list was bring a flashlight. To my mind a flashlight means Surefire so I headed to clothing and sales only to find that the only surefire's they have are G2x's. IIRC the G2x was intended to be a weapon mounted flash light so it's proportioned that that way, but since it's the only non-Chinese made flash light they have, and my departure is too close to mail order it seems to be the only my option. If you have a G2x how do you carry it? It doesn't seen to have a place to conveniently attach a lanyard and I don't want it in my pocket since I'll be carrying a Nyala in my right pocket It's be nice to have a free pocket for the rest. I could probably tie some sort of noose knot around it and carry it on my neck but again it's not exactly dainty.

If you have a G2x or another voluptuous light how do you carry it?

I'm a connoisseur of EDC lights to say the least...

I DIY all my light pouches, for a G2 size light you'll want 2.5" webbing. S fold it over its self (two times) and sew the seams with waxed thread.

I don't know if the G2x is meant to be mounted on a weapon. You might want to verify with Surefire if it is suggested for that light if you plan on mounting it. I thought that certain internal components are beefed up for continual bashing from recoil on their weapon specific lights (such as the battery springs) but could be wrong with that.

I'm a pouch guy. Surefire used to sell pouches for their flashlights. I like mine but don't see it on their website. Surefire advertises their flashlight holsters now instead. That being said, I often would keep my Surefire E2D in a glasses pouch on my backpack's shoulder strap. You also might find some universal flashlight or knife pouches in some local stores. I think Home Depot has a Nite-Ize universal if you really need something quick (I don't know the comparable hardware store in Germany). Does it fit in any of your Chinese light pouches? Maybe something might be available in the PX?
