Well I recently bought a knife at a local hardware store the reason I bought it is because I had one like it and lost it .... 32 pattern case amber bone handles cv blade I started sharpening it today and noticed instead of saying 6332 it says 3318 I dunno what went wrong there I'm not sure if the sheepfoot in a 18 pattern is the same or what but I guess it makes a neat conversation piece ... anyways here some pics and the knife was brand new in the box when I bought it

You've got a valuable collector's item there - like a $20 dollar bill that has $10 printed on it! Seriously that must have been a Monday morning assembly job! OH

That's what my dad said .... I called case and asked them they said you have yellow handled medium stockman I said no I got a amber bone 32 pattern with a odd blade

Well, this thread got me to take a look at my own amber bone stockman, 6318PU CV, with a punch instead of the spey. The punch is marked SS instead of CV. Is that an oddity, or is it what I should expect?

Sorry for the hijack; my curiosity got the better of me.

On the 6318PU CV knives, the punch is stainless and the other blades are CV. That is true of the yellow Delrin 3318PU as well. That is how they are made.
