Recently I have been on a very enjoyable slip joint kick. It seems every week I find a knife that will be my EDC. Dose anyone else have this affliction? So when I found my new acquisition I thought I would give it a full week of carrying to work and out side of work before I posted about it. Well, a week has gone by and I still am enamored by my new Case Barlow! The numbers are 6.52009 1/2. I really love the texture of the stag, it's great for non-slip retention. I also love that the blades have a half stop on them. I feel if the blade was to close on me for any reason (i.e., me doing something stupid) the half stop could be a great safety feature. The springs on this knife are (could I say, non Case style) in the fact that they are borderline "custom knife" strong!

Great looking knife! I have a Barlow in red bone and really like it. They are a great size for pocket carry yet have a pretty good sized main blade.

Very nice. I was in Nashville at the case store and almost picked that one up. I still may have to add that one to the collection. Remember though that 6.5 is bone stag and not real stag. Nice purchase!

Must be the Barlow bug week,I have the same knife coming next week with the real stag on it. I have been getting a barlow for several years now,and always found something else before I got one, well not this time it is for sure next week. I'm glad I waited because I wanted the real deal so, it will be...I'm excited can ya tell Mike

Nice looking Bonestag there! I have a CASE saddlehorn in the same scales and it's TACTILE!
Does the CASE Barlow come with a spearpoint blade as well? I prefer this on a Barlow.

I tradeded for a 6.5 barlow in the last couple of weeks. Their seem to be alot of happy barlow owners here. I know I am.

I'm the one that traded that knife to grateful. There are days I have missed that knife. May have to order another. Hard to beat a barlow. Some days I try other patterns; stockmans, trappers, but that Barlow keeps charming me!

Durbin

This is a great feeling knife, thanks for all the intrest. I thought it would be a little to thick in the pocket but i's not. I like the beefy feel of the knife, and the awsome walk and talk.

Sorry to hear that you miss your barlow Durbin but rest assured that I am giving it a very good home. How is the trapper working out for you?

Jim,

That trapper is nice. My first Case with CV steel, and I really like that blade. The red bone is cool too. Gonna be my work knife; used for hard stuff, cause it is well built, and can handle it. Very happy. But... I love the Barlow Pattern. Enjoy! sorry for the highjack.

Jacknife is it going to be a user ? Just had to ask, nice very nice, good lookin Barlow....Mike

Mike. I gotta tell the truth and tell you its sitting in my safe with a couple of other knives I can't bring myself to use. I know its wrong...but there you go.

I've got better at using my safe queens of late so perhaps I'll give it some pocket time soon. Be a crime not to I know. I'm not getting any younger so I don't know why I'm saving them, I won't wear them out :)

Ya know I have plenty of edc to use the rest of my life, but every now and then I can't stand it, I have to break out a brand new whatever, then wonder I really didn't need another edc...It's a crazy good addiction......Mike
