Case - Ducks Unlimited

Could we get a clearer picture of the tang stamp on the main blade. Can’t make it out that well. Looks like a 4 dot. Maybe 1986 or 1996 but can’t make it out clearly.

Looks like the stamp they used in the mid to late 80s and 90s to me, but I’m sure someone will come along that can pin it down further.

Here are a couple of other pics. Hoping these are clearer.

That looks like 1993 to me.
If you look at the tang stamp, does it read:
CASE XX (the S is sort of shaped like a lightening bolt)
Bradford, PA
19 USA 93 (the numbers are tiny)

If the tang stamp is as I described it above, that's from 1993.
If it differs, please let us know how it differs from what I put above.

But I should add, it's a real nice piece. I don't think I've ever seen a stockman with a serrated sheepsfoot blade. Maybe that's a tool specific to duck hunting (something I've never done)?

Thanks. It doesn't appear to be used or sharpened as far as I can tell. I have duck hunted, many years ago, but would only be guessing at what the serrated blade would be used for.

So was the tang stamp as I described, making it 1993?

Awesome. My wife has one just like it, that was purchased in poor condition and sent back to Case. My best recollection is that the sheepsfoot blade was broken at the ricasso... I never knew that it would have had a serrated blade. Case replaced the blades and patched it up and sent it back at no charge. It's one of my wife favorite knives.

I didn't know Case would do this. That's great. If you don't mind, take a pic of your wife's knife and post it. I'd like to compare it to mine. Thanks in advance.

I'd be glad to. Give me a minute.
