CASE Knifeaxe/hatchet

Hello-I'm a new member; hope I'm doing this right. Looking for info about a CASE knifeaxe/hatchet combo I recently purchased. Any direction on this would be appreciated.

As a registered user, you can post pictures using a picture hosting site. I use Imgur, but there are others. Once you have uploaded a picture to the hosting site, copy the web address of the picture. Note: picture web addresses must end in .jpg or .gif

Then go to your post and click the image tool on the toolbar next to the smiley tool. Click the link icon in the popup. (Looks like a chain.) Paste the picture address into the window. Then click the INSERT button.

The info I'm looking for is in regard to the locking arm mechanism on the handle unit. That part was missing on my handle. Is the locking arm supposed to be attached to the handle at a pin on the base? I received the handle, knife blade, axe/hatchet (CASE XX with USA beneath on shaft below head) and leather sheath (brought back to life with saddle soap and neatsfoot oil). I'm going to search for a locking arm, but need to know how it attaches.
