Case Shields? I'm confused!

Only ones I ever saw was a shield that has Case in the middle. Just read a thread and the Case knives had blank shields of a variety of shapes. (Boso??)is there a thread or YouTube video that explains the shields? Or if you all want to explain them here that would be even better.
 
Case has standard shield they use, the oval with case stamped in. Although, they change throughout the years.
They also do a variety of other shields to change things up and keep the patterns interesting and new.
Maybe somebody will post the changes of the oval shields throughout the years.

My boss just gave me this mini trapper today, it has a barn shield of all things. Which I like because I like oddball shields lol my local Walmart has a full size trapper in orange bone with a shield that looks like a shotgun shell. I would suggest looking through this thread some, Case has quite a variety overall.

I believe that barn shield was a special for a certain farm store I can't mention here.
