I just got this pattern yesterday after thinking it was one of the more unattractive patterns, and I’ve completely fallen in love with it. The blade thickness is VERY close to the same thickness as the sodbuster, but it has a much nicer tip. It, surprisingly, disappears in the pocket, and is quite comfortable to hold. It’s probably my favorite pattern (at the moment), so I’m sure I’ll end up with nearly all of the types that case offers at some point. it surprises me that there isn’t much out there as far as reviews and general love. I must be in the minority. Lol

Not at all, there have been discussions and likely, threads about it.

Fine pattern, particularly good for food/snack prep make it an ideal day trip or picnic knife.

Some of the old ones look superb, worth knowing that Queen Cutlery (the late Queen Cutlery..:() had an equivalent called the Utility Knife, some in D2 some stainless.

GEC's 48 is their version of it but for me, the CASE rules this roost: cost, range, availability and decent quality.

I got the brown synthetic model. I’m looking at the barn board jig antique bone model now. If I can figure out how to upload pics I’ll share one.

Brown Delrin is an excellent version

Put your photos to an image hosting site such as Imgur, click the relevant link/bar and paste them in. If I can do it, everybody can :D

There are alternative methods too, I think the technical thread will have details or go online to see a video about how to post pix on forums, there must be one....;)

Regards, Will

One of my favorite Case patterns. I have a brown delrin and a blue delrin workman. They are great knives for the money. I usually prefer CV but this is one pattern I like in SS.

I figured I just upload to Imgur, copy and past me the link and it would be that easy. Guess not. Lol

Here's what I had to do to copy one of my images from imgur.
1. Put cursor on the image in imgur, and the upper right corner of image shows "Copy link" with "..." next to it.
2. Click on "..." and choose "Get share links" from the menu that drops down.
3. There are 4 share options that appear. You want the BBCode (Forums) option, so click on green "Copy Link" box next to it.
4. THAT'S what you can paste into a Blade Forums post!
It's essentially the imgur link but preceded by and followed by "image switches" to turn on and turn off "image mode" (I'm just making up these terms.)

(At least that's how it works for me with a MacBook.)
Good Luck! ;):thumbsup::) (I have a yellow delrin CV slimline trapper and I like it WAY better than a full-size Case 2-blade trapper!)

You need to use the Imgur desktop site to get the proper code. I can access it from my iPad by searching for “imgur desktop”. Once you upload the image, there should be an option somewhere to get share links. Copy the BBcode link, and paste it directly into the body of your message. Anyway this works for me, but as always, your mileage may vary. Good luck!

Here is an old queen made Winchester slimline. It was listed as bone but I think it might be delrin. Maybe someone on here can tell

My "test' is to look at the covers in bright sunlight. Bone covers have a translucence.

Just from these pics, I'd say it was bone. You can see what looks like "grain" in the edges, and the color isn't even enough at the bolsters to be delrin. Also, the jigging doesn't look as smooth as delrin jigging usually looks. I think it's bone.
If you really want to know, you can test it by trying to shave a small curl off an edge somewhere with a really sharp knife. Delrin will readily shave a curl, bone does not... it scrapes.

You can also heat up a pin, and touch it to the scale in an unobtrusive spot. Delrin melts, bone smells bad!
I’ve never botherd, though. Always assumed if I can’t tell, it must be DuPont Delrin.
Sneaky stuff, that delrin.

But for a carry and use knife, delrin is hard to beat.
