I started using Slimline trapper and find it to be excellent edc knife, and tru sharp is not bad at all, takes nice toothy edge that touches up in seconds.I just ordered cv version too.

I edc a Yellow delrin in CV.. Nice and slim for the size.. Hardly know it in the pocket.. And I like the blade length.. Real nice slicer!! I do have a few in the pile also.. John

Huge value for the money. Here's one of my favs with Don Hanson's version.

I have one in stainless with as ground blades and Delrin handle, I think is the workman line or something like that.
It's a little to big for urban EDC at least in Madrid, but the tru-sharp steel really surprised me in a good way, sharpened with a soft Arkansas stone takes a beautiful edge and well deburred keeps it for quite a while.
It's my go to eating knife at home

Great variant Gary!

Frankly, I find no drawbacks to this knife: easy to obtain, lightweight esp in Barehead & Delrin, not expensive and quite a looker really. Easy in the pocket and a fine fruit or food knife. CASE's Trusharp is good enough for pocket knife tasks and it imparts no flavours.

The others, GEC 48 carbons and Queen Cutlery Utility in D2 are much more difficult to find and are correspondingly dearer, great patterns too, mind.

i love single blade trappers and at one time had two of these. they were two slim for my liking and I eventually put them in gaws

Makes a perfect gentleman's folder, especially if you get one with jigged bone covers.. :)

Although I do like this old 70s version in Yellow Delrin with a CV blade a friend of mine found in an old Cadillac Coupe DeVille he'd picked up in the same yellow color.

I have a green Case slimline trapper. The spring is a little proud when blade is open. I wonder if there is anything that can be done about it and how? Anyway it is nice and light, a good eating and fruit knife.
