I’m new here and this is my first post. I just want to say hi to everyone and I look forward to learning from everyone. Today I picked up a 2021 Case No 23141 Bose Double Black Canvas Laminate Sowbelly (TB10339 SS) at a local Tractor Supply that was NOS for $60. I can’t really find a whole lot of info on that particular knife or value. I’ve searched and everywhere just says discontinued or out of stock no one has one for sale. I’m curious to know if I got a good deal or if that’s the going rate. I never seen one in person before and I feel in love it with so I bought it.

Forum requires a paid membership for answers about valuation (see sticky at the top of this forum). But I'll volunteer that that's a decent price for that knife.

I have a couple of those Case sowbelllies. They make a good carry, and a good working knife. I think the canvas micarta sowbellies were in Tru-Sharp (= 420HC).

Thank you. Ya I’m not looking for a definitive valuation just if it was a good deal or not. I appreciate you answering.

Welcome! The sowbelly is my favorite Case so far.

I also have a black laminate one that sees .ore use than most of my knives. Random picture that was handy.

It's neat that you were able to find one at tractor supply! They usually don't have much, at least the one around here doesn't.

Have fun!

I’ve always liked pocket knives but never knew much about them but recently I’ve been trying to learn more. I never really owned anything worthwhile besides a few things past down to me. I’m from PA so I’ve been fond of knives from my state but I like pretty much classic American made knives. At the same Tractor Supply a couple weeks ago they had a Case medium stockman red bone NOS on clearance for $19.99. That one didn’t have a box or anything but I couldn’t past that up. That one pretty much got things started for me.

I cannot directly respond to the pricing questions, but I can say I would have grabbed both deals had I seen them.
The stockman was a no brainer for me. I think the sowbelly was there at the time but I didn’t really pay attention because I was fixated on the $19.99 price tag of the stockman. I went in today and noticed it was in the case by the register with the original price tag of 89.99. I ask the manager since it was a few years old if it was going to go on sale anytime soon. He went to the computer and hit a few keys and he said he could drop it to $60. I didn’t hesitate. I probably would’ve paid the $89 for it just because I really liked it but I’m glad I asked.

Been after a single blade sowbelly, never seen Bose patterns at any TSC. I’ve been very pleased and surprised with my TSC 6347 though…
