To make a long story short, I am posting pictures of a knife that a co-worker showed to me. It was his grandfather's daily carry knife. I cannot describe how the well worn bone felt in my hand. He asked me what I thought the knife needed to clean it up. I told him that it needed nothing but to treasure it. Enjoy the pictures and help me to narrow down the year of manufacture. Thank You

That knife has certainly earned its keep. It's nice to see one that is well-used like that. I'll bet if it could talk it would have some great stories to tell.

I love the color of the bone. I am sure it has plenty of stories. I will pass on your statements.

Wow! What a gorgeous old trapper. I don't reckon that knife ever blanched at being put into "hard use."
