Does anyone have one of these.
I bought one used a while ago, and I need to change the batteries. I bought the batteries...but watch no worky! I dont have the manual, any help would be huge. thanks. Gene

Thanks, I have that download...nothing in there on the battery change.
weird, the watch is for tough outdoors man, and they ask you to send it in to get the battery changed. WTF

I saw only “return to Casio blah” in the manuals too.

Perhaps it has something to do with needing an AC reset. Caveat, I am guessing. Here is one of the things I'm basing mah guess on.

And it appears it isn't peculiar just to the Pathfinders. Below is from a G-Shock.

Grabbed those from this G-Shock walkthrough. Familiar viscera?

Yup,
I just used a small piece of phone wire. small stuff. The watch is on, but I am not getting any reset function...I might have bought a dud. I will send it out for repair someday. I usually never buy electronics used..but I figured, how hard can a battery change be?
Another thing to consider on this watch..they take 4 batteries, at over $5 apiece at Radio Shack!! I am used to spending around $7 for one, and calling it done. I think I am turned off by the whole thing.

I attempted to change the battery in one of mine and it no longer exists. I did manage to get a battery in it but it never worked again.
I will take my other one to a Casio repair shop when it needs one. There must be a secret to it.
Best of luck to you.

I've had a Pathfinder for a couple of years now, and I love it. It's a fairly large watch, but I don't even notice the size. The numbers are large and easy to read, it looks good, and I use the compass feature quite often.

Pulling out of an unfamiliar parking lot the other day, I started driving in what seemed like the wrong direction. A quick check on my Pathfinder showed me I was headed North instead of West -- yup, time to turn.

I haven't had to change the batteries on my watch yet. When I do, I'll take it to a watch repair shop like I do with my other watches. $15 to $20 every couple of years doesn't bother me too much, and I'd much rather not mess with it myself.
