It's fascinating to look at changes in pricing of the (fancy) CS Espada XL sold through (and not by) Amazon over the past decade. Was one used in a popular movie in 2016? Did supply run low at the CS HQ in Ventura?

Well, Cold Steel began using CTS-XHP in 2015 and that's a significantly more expensive steel than the AUS-8 they previously used. I suppose it could be a movie instead, but that seems less likely.

That is "3rd party new" pricing - just to be accurate.

The Blue line in that chart, from CCC, is for 3rd party sellers who sell on Amazon. The Green line is for the items sold Direct from Amazon. People often make the mistake thinking everything they purchase on the Amazon website is sold directly By amazon - it is Not. Some items are sold By 3rd party sellers On the amazon website.

Your topic is still very interesting.

I did a search on CCC for the fancy Extra Large - link to graph listed below. This specific knife, used for the graph below, is sold On the Amazon website - but it is Not sold By Amazon. People have to check on the listing page for the ever increasingly important:

"Ships from"
"Sold by"

In this case, neither "Ships from" or "Sold by" is - Amazon

After clicking on the link - under "Price Type", check the box for "Amazon". A green line will appear showing - sales direct from Amazon. Uncheck the blue line "3rd Party New".
