Are the Chase-Durer watches any good? I'm looking for a high quality Tritium handed watch. And other than the Luminox, can't find any. Please provide url's or links to sites. Thanks.

Hi, They are okay but if you planning to spend that kind of money I would choose a Breitling or Paneri. Cya Jonathan

Where do I find those two? Anyone else have other ideas?

Also be aware the Tritium is painted on the markers, it’s not in the vials like a Luminox or a Stocker & Yale. This means the Tritium is much, much dimmer than that found on the other aforementioned watches.

I am wearing a Chase Durer Chronograph right now that I have worn daily for the past three years. This is one of there cheaper models, Japanese movement rather than Swiss.

I think it was a very good value at about $250.00. Case and band are both well made, Watch is accurate and extremely rugged. I am left handed and have always worn a watch on my left wrist which tends to give them a beating. This is about the best I have done with a watch without repair, adjustment, or even a new battery for that matter.

Down side on mine is that the markings are not tritium, and the face is a little too busy with features that are for me unnecessary.

I bought one of their Pilot Commanders and have had nothing but trouble with it. I eventually gave up on it and bought a Swiss Army watch. It has given me excellent service, even if it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles.
