Hey guys. I just got a job today and I need to get myself some khakis to conform to dress code. I absolutely hate wearing khaki dress pants with the fiery passion of a thousand suns but I must. I would mind less if they were cargos or tan BDU pants but I can't seem to find a good place to order them online. I need to get more than one pair and I have less than $50 to spend. Do any of you guys happen to know of a good place to find what I'm looking for? I've already checked the thrift store and Walmart is too far away. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
;)

JCPenny has St. Johns cargo pants. Usually around $20 ea and there's always a coupon on-line or in the sale papers that come in the news paper.

They're probably fine for what you need. I'm not much of a khaki/dress pant guy either but i have to wear them at work as well. JCP seems to have good deals on 'em so I shop there.

Why new? I hit thrift stores like Goodwill, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity et al. You won't always find what you want when you need it but you won't pay retail when you do.

I usually find all the khaki's like Izod or Dockers in my size I need...an old retired guy my daily uniform is khaki shorts, t-shirt and sports shoes but hey, this is FL.

Best wishes on the new job.

Sometimes Target has Wrangler cargos on sale for around $16 and they fit and last well. FYI they're not the poofy cargo pockets but lie flat and IIRC have expandable pleats.

I don't know whether they make cargo models, but the Dickey's khaki work pants are often around $20. In addition to clothing stores, places like Orchard Supply Hardware sometimes carry them. I even found some at Ross for about $11-12. They last a reasonably long time for the price.

old navy around here has them for $15.

brigade quatermaster has 5.11 TACTICAL® COVERT KHAKI PANTS for 9.95
"Built specifically for plainclothes and undercover operators! Everyday-looking from the outside, these flat front khakis have a total of 8 pockets: two traditional style front pockets, each with interior zippered pockets sized for magazines or accessories; two concealed vertical thigh pockets with zippers hidden along the side seams; and two standard rear pockets."

I found a couple pairs on the Walmart site that I think I'm going to settle for. Not ideal but the price is right. Thanks guys.

Be sure they definitely allow cargo pants. We can wear jeans where I work, but no cargo pants.

No worries, I was sure to ask. It's pretty cool to be able to wear cargos and a hoodie as a supervisor so I guess khaki isn't that bad.

for future purchases, check ebay, they always have a bunch of about any type of clothing that you would want, and you can do a search for waist and inseam size, color, brand etc.

since you don't mind thrift stores and i do not either, hey if it fits the budget, it is for me.

a little tide goes along way...

I've had some True Spec (60/40 blend) in navy blue and woodland camo that refuse to die. After about 5 or more years, i finally noticed the wookland camo starting to fade. Here's a link to VT ARMY. I've ordered from them several times and they seem to be a good store. Khakis. They also carry the Propper brand that tsacain recommended.

Get the 60/40 blend. They don't wrinkle.

Old Navy.

I just bought a flannel lined pair of pants for $13. They are khaki and fairly thick material. I was surprised at the cost and quality.

I would also suggest checking out LA Police Gear. They can have amazing deals on 5.11 and Diplomat pants.
