i have 2 Chicago Cutlery knives which i'm fairly sure are Schrades.

any additional info on these will be appreciated of course, and any other Schrade/Chicago Cutlery knives ?

It is interesting and I think Schrade made knives for sears too. I have seen a lockback with Craftsman stamp on the tang and it looks exactly like the LB7. My dad has a craftsman 3 blade stockman and that looks like a Schrade.

Hedger, there's lots in this forum about Craftsman/Sears knives. the 5" LB was made by Camillus. many of the stockman knives are Schrades.

Roland,

I found some notes from a meeting dated July 28, 1981. Item #10 happened to discuss working up some sample hunting knives for Chicago Cutlery, so there definitely was a working relationship there. here's a copy of the notes regarding the samples (HBB is Henry B. Baer, and MG is M. Gardiner):

Eric, where did you get these documents ?? wherever, i think it makes you the official "Custodian of Historical Schrade Documents for Reference Purposes".
i'm surprised it is as "late" as 1981. i think the Schrade/Chicago Cutlery folders were earlier ?
do you know if any of the FBs mentioned were produced ? i've never seen one.
here's another Chicago Cutlery; a 3 1/4" Stockman. pile side tang of clip is: P13USA:

do you think it is a Schrade 34OT ?
thanks for this help, roland

Roland, the 34OT did not have a long pull like that, and that swedge looks like some Craftsman knives I've seen, with a whitish handle. Camillus and Schade both made Craftsman. I kind of wonder if Camillus made any of these Chicago Cutlery contract knives? Just a guess. And at any rate, that is a dandy.

Roland, that title still belongs to Codger, I think he's likely got a warehouse full of documents! (I've just got the stuff he dropped on his way home:cool::D ) I'll see if I can find any other info on those knives, so far nothing else has come up, although there is a reference to "Chicago" on another meeting from June, 1983. Not sure if it pertains to Chicago Cutlery though, although the handle material points in the right direction. Here's what it says (I'm quoting here):

"8) Wally requested a price and sample of a C641 with walnut handles and engraved bolsters for Chicago. Quantity: 6000 pcs."
