Hey everyone, so have you ever seen or used a crkt folding razel? Its basically a folding chisel and i have found so many uses for it. The folder is huge though and is not my main knife so i don't get to carry it too often. I saw that crkt had a small fixed blade version of it but theres 2 problems. 1, the blade is just a little too small, and 2, i cant find one anywhere anyway.

So my question to you is, do you know of any small fixed blades like this? Im open to any suggestions.

I just don't have the time to make my own right now and before i put in all that work i want to be sure that i will carry it every day.

Thanks!

Strider has a fixed blade with a chisel edge.
Morakniv has one also and way cheaper.

If you don't mind a point, Strider's tanto SnG and SmF are ground like masonry chisels. If you want a pocketable fixed blade with an unbreakable grind the DB or HT are for you.

Emerson Government Mule Blunt Nose is a full sized fixed blade with a squared off tip.

The knife is designed by Graham. He has a number of custom versions available as a fixed blade in many sizes. Contact him.

I would suggest the bay for the best possibility of finding one.

As for suggestions:

Boker cop tool
And
EOD robotics breacher bar.

This.

Jon is a nice guy and makes a nice knife. If you can't swing the money for the custom just keep watching fleabay till one pops up.

Search 'Mora chisel knife' in google, it's basically a mora companion, in the shape of a chisel. Almost like someone took a mora and put a 90 degree tanto tip on it.

Just buy a chisel. They come in all sorts of different sizes and shapes; you'll have a much wider selection searching under "tools" than "knives." If you want something more 'knifey', maybe a kiridashi?

Good luck, OP! :)

A number of companies essentially copied the razel with the chisel edge. Take a look at the Ringed Razel (~3" fixed blade) made by CRKT. The blade is just about the same size as the large folding razel. The stubby is also one of the models. I noticed that the larger folding razel may be discontinued. I purchased one a month or so ago at a big knife store in TN. It has been added to my work knife inventory/tool box. The larger folding razel (crkt) is a pretty large knife, but still a size that you can carry clipped to your pocket. They claim the lock makes it almost as strong as a fixed blade.

Added: A few years ago I noticed a CRKT Razel that was sized between the large folding Razel and the Stubby. I'd like to get one of these if I ever see one or CRKT starts making them again. As I recall the front chisel edge was about 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide and would be much more useful than the stubby and less cumbersome than the folding razel.

If they are available in your area have a look at the Hultafors STK Chisel knife, Mine cost £6.95 delivered.

"Robust knife with V-ground chisel function. It features a unique function for attaching the holster around a button on your work clothes so that it does not come loose whilst still being easy to remove. The blade is made from Japanese knife steel, 3 mm carbon steel that has been hardened to 58-60 HRC.
Blade length 2.72 inches.
The cutting edge has been sharpened with a double edge angle and a final honing on a leather strop.
Both the handle and holster are made from super-durable PP plastic."

Check out the EOD robotics Breacher Bar. They have several sizes at fair prices and they are made in the USA. You can find the largest one on sale for $13.50 if you search online. I have a couple of the smaller ones and no complaints.
