$75 for a pocket clip. I thought I was splurging spending $26 for a titanium clip from MXG. Yeah, uh no thanks. Then again, I don't own nor plan on owning a CRK anytime soon.

I question whether a "new" Ti-Lock would be the same quality as the original. I always wanted to try one, never got around to it.

CRK is something special! The lock on the Sebenza 31 is a new ceramic ball interface. It’s really smooth and a beautiful knife. I do wish you the opportunity to handle and own a Sebenza one day! They are special…

I’ve owned several CRK’s over the years, including the Sebenza.

I gotta say, my $85 Civivi Exarch in CF Damascus is a way better deal, more functional, better looking, and more fun to fidget with than the hawk clip. But that's just me. I've owned a Sebenza, custom Brian Tighe, a lot of stuff from a lot of price ranges, but I think with CRK the price is going up and quality is going down, much like Benchmade though not nearly to that extreme.

There is a reason I sold my Seb, and though occasionally I've considered buying another CRK, for the money they now charge there are better options for that money or less.

To me, they don't have anything innovative or interesting. Its kinda like how Toyota used the 1.8 liter 123hp inline four for 20+years. Yeah, they added VVT-i, made some other tweaks here and there, but it was overall just the same boring, underpowered, albeit very reliable engine. The difference is they didn't charge a fortune for it.

Yes, its apples to orangutans, but the concept is the same. Yes, CRK is a niche market within a niche market, but still. The market is flooded with Ti framelocks. Innovation and consistently quality in my opinion is a better business model than cutting corners and raising prices. But that's just me.

I’ve got a Hawk Clip on a small 21 and really like it but it didn’t cost $75. That’s a little steep when the standard clip performs well.

Then you know…. But I see where their knives aren’t for everyone. First, they are expensive! I get it.

Where has the price gone up on CRK?

They were always expensive, but ever since Chris isn’t behind the company anymore they aren’t the same. You’re not the only person here who can afford a Sebenza, there are people here that have CRK collections that are worth six figures.

I currently have a 21, and tried an Inkosi. I liked the adjustable pivot, but don't like the idea of the ball interface. I prefer flat mating surfaces in a lock, over round surfaces.
