I have a couple brand new Chris Reeve lanyards that have the bead. Has anyone pulled the lanyard through the pin? I am thinking of using one of them without the pin but not sure if it will just be ruined trying to pull it out from the pin. Pin hole looks really small in comparison to thick lanyard.

I'd be careful. I've sent CRK an email because every time I try to thread paracord back though it shreds and breaks.

I don't want to be able to rethread it. I just want to pull it out of the pin and re-tie without the pin. Just not sure if its a real pain to pull it out.

The cord is not difficult to pull out of the lanyard pin. Getting a cord back into the pin is a totally different story. I would just remove the pin and lanyard. Keep the lanyard tied through the pin and use another piece of cord to tie a lanyard as you describe.

I purchase extra CR lanyards that use a thicker lanyard chord and bead. May sell the Sebenza and won't need the pin.

My small 21 when it's closed the tip of the blade contacts part of the lanyard sitting on the inside of the scale, shredding it. It kind of worries me because I fear one day it will shred through and then the little blue crosspin will get lost. I assume others have this problem since CRs tolerances mean if my knife is doing it, everyone else's must be.

the lanyard pins on smalls are captured...they won't come out without disassembling the knife
