This knife was made in 1988. The blade is made of D2 steel.

James - isn't that just an older model 'benza? Also, it looks like the screws are going directly ijnto the titanium (e.g. the ti is tapped) for the pivot and assembly screws?

Dexter, this is one of 35 or so folders that Chris Reeve made before he dubbed the knife "Sebenza". The screws do indeed thread into the handle slab, which are of a thicker stock than currently used. The lock bar is shorter and wider, and the D2 blade is narrower than on the older style Sebenzas that I have. I understand that the early handmade Sebenzas also used this stock of titanium for the handles.
