Hi All,

Can I impose on you for some Ideas that I could use to keep the ol' noodle thinking over the Holidays?

Spooky's thread has me thinking really hard about making a bush pipe - but curious what other projects you might recommend - pics would be appreciated as well.

I know I'm cutting it close (pardon the pun :D) but wondering if you might have thoughts on small crafts that I could make for my nieces/nephews perhaps (ages range from 5 - 16) for Christmas as well?

Would like to keep the work confined to the use of basic wood craft tools

Thanks a bunch,

sp

Maybe some knotwork, either lanyards or key chains or zipper pulls. Easy, simple and quick, you could knock a bunch out while just hanging out in the evening.

Carve out some lil ornaments for the tree. Little snowmen, santa heads, etc.

Wonder if you could carve a comb for the girls? That'd be neat.

Maybe carve a large 'dagger' sort of thing for the boys (blunt and dull of course). Or you could even just carve out a big letter that was the first letter to their name, they could hang it on their wall/door.

Bowdrills, figure 4 deadfalls, spoons & bowls, "african" style masks, carving out ornatments seems like a great idea too.

Or, maybe a mini-bowdrill? lol
