Christmas Sales for 12/5

Oh, I wasn't dissing ramen, it's gotten me through hard times before...but I prefer big lumps of meat and a fire.:D

Got the DD on the Seax...I was gonna hold out for a custom, but my willpower was weak. Much shiny, so slicey...I just had to have it.

I know you weren't dissing Ramen, I was just trying to show Ramen is very versatile, and only limited by ones imagination. Basically, it's just a starch. Big meat and fire? I really like those 4 words...:)

That Seax is something else, you'll really like it.

...I think the reason the ones we praise and desire the most are the ones that are just over the monetary amount most folks will spend without thought...

Yes. We're admiring, longing, and probably hoping... that somebody will remove the temptation soon.

seax is a great knife, and the wood scales on all the "special" yuvraj knives, the seax, trisul, etc all seem to have a very special violet wood that is almost ebony like

also does anyone remember who got that giant strange bamboo cutter?

Hey! There is nothing wrong with Ramen,...
You don't always need to have it in soup, just boil the noodles, and drain. Get a pot/pan, heat, add oil, a meat, and a veggie. mix/stir, add some soy sauce or oyster sauce, dash of white pepper, dash of sesame oil, and your good to go. I live on the above in college for 4 years, and with all the money I saved, drank my behind off, and bought a used car...:)
Man im LMAOFOMA or whatever that acrony is for laughing my arse off! That described my five years of college. If it wasnt for beer i probably could have done it in four like everybody else:D That should go in the cantina cookbook records. Id buy a dozen cans of beans and veggies and start with about three cans of something or other then each day add a can of something new and reapeat for about a week or so then wash the pot and start over again.

I don't know if you're the leader of the pack, but you sure aren't alone, that's a fact.

In fact, I'll be halfway in the doghouse with kamidog, in a few days...:), unless I can beat the wife to the mail, and sneak the blade into the house somehow...:D
Im kinda glad my hasiya didnt come in tonight. Tomorrow is Sat and will be outside working on the car so Ill at least have a chance to snag the steel from the mailman and stash it somewhere:D. I have to wrap it up and slip it under the tree for my wife and take the beatings when my fish knife and hat comes in I guess.

Cool Seax Rwill! Yuvraj does excellent work.

I think it was snowolf that got that blade Gehazi. That was so khul! Hope to see a few more of them someday.

Hey GUYS!

That was as good a bunch of blades as I have seen here..or anywhere!

And whomever grabbed the fish knife made me plumb flat out covetous!

Bless the LADY!

That be me man! Sorry i have a big thin spread out soap box. I try not to stay on it too long because im sure to bruise my arse here. Im poetically challenged and verbally...well redneck with a knife...What can you say? I look forward to getting that knife. Im cutting up a 3 pound slab of steelhead trout now..er at least my wife is telling me everything is ready cept the fish so its my turn. I brought out my Giant Chitlangi Bowie and asked her to step back and she did:D Anyway she thinks it was a bit overkill so I told her I need something a bit smaller to clean stuff like this.

You know im just buttering her up for when the fish knife comes in that she dont know about yet. Im hoping it is burried in the hat I bought too. I did tell her about that? Ok gotta go. Fish calls. I already fileted and ate half of it raw. MMmm!

excellent tactic ndog-- call it the infomercial method

try cutting fish with oversized inappropriate chitlangi and shrug exasperated in black and white

new fish knife in hand , steel head trout is manageable and everyone is happy!

Why hasn't anyone bought that Pen yet:p

I have been pining away for one for the better part of a year. Mine, a Bura, was stolen out of my jeep when I parked it behind my office for a few hours while shuffling cars around. I had that thing for YEARS. It was my go-to back up khuk.

Truth be told, this one looks MUCH better. Lovely lines, nice sweep to the handle, longs of blade to grip ratio...so tempting, but I'm tapped out.
Too small. Pen knife of 17 inches overall would be gone in a heartbeat.

I don't believe they come that large except by special order, like Philll's giant PEN knife.

All of the Pen knives I've seen since at least last year, have been around 12" OAL.

Thanks gb! That piece of fish was pretty dang good too. I think I owe her a new cutting board;)

Sorry guys and gals, but I am no hermit, and have no wish to be, but I still love my blades, and enjoy the company of everyone on the HI forum, feels like home.

No need to be a hermit, truth be told i am only a hermit on my days off. Being a IT specialist can be draining because the only time i hear from someone is when there is a problem. Most are in bad moods to begin with and a IT issue only complicates things. I prefer the peace of my home on my days off, which are few and far between. I am a wannabe hermit. You have always been one of the most welcoming people on the forum... We need the outgoing types like yourself to help us introverts on social graces.;)

Thanks, I just try to be hospitable, courteous, and helpful.

I know about rest, I am in finance and IT, and I understand completely, your need for "me" time. I do it too, just don't get the opportunity to do so very often, too many family, friends, and events. Too many things to do, not enough time to do them.

even totally alone there is too much to do, it makes no difference where you go in that regard me time or not, work always follows and is waiting !-- hermitage is not about rest for me, it is about security-- there is nothing more dangerous or unpredictable than a human, and I minimize my risk by interacting with them on a minimal basis.

work is work, in modern society for the most part we all have to deal with people a whole bunch to get along, but I definitely feel a hermit all the same, as I do not maintain any "friends" my work and home take up all my interest and time, I have no connections to people any stronger than here other than with those who share my land. Though the people here are a bit different, and that is why I think we all feel attachment to the community even though many of us are jr misanthropes and hermits.

Dan Koster et all designed it to be a handy camp knife about the same size as the Tracker. It's a fantastic smaller knife that behaves like a larger one. 15" I could see. At 17" it's still super cool but not what it was designed to be:)

It really shines at 12". I miss mine:(

Mine is about 12 1/2". I kind of want this one since it's a bit shorter and looks like it has a little more belly to it.

Even better flapjack flipper. Sure like the looks of it.
