Does anyone use a circular saw blade (tablesaw) on G10? If so, what sort of blade do you use? I don't want to mess up my wood blades with fiberglass.

I know people here have had a lot of success with dimond blades.

I usually just use a normal woodcutting bandsaw with a bi-metal blade to cut it, but I have used just a cheap carbide blade on my chopsaw to cut it before and it didn't chip the blade. You could use an abrasive disk but it would stink something awful.

You can usually pickup a 7" tile saw for around $50 off of craigslist every now and then. (A diamond blade for your table saw would likely cost as much.) The water keeping the dust down would be hard to beat.

It's not too bad to cut, but all the dust and small pieces chipping off are HIGHLY HIGHLY DANGEROUS to your respiratory tract.

I use 1/16" metal cutting abrasive disc on my grinder and hold the pieces by hand. My grinder only turns about 700 rpm though. The dust is an issue, a respirator is a must. As for the shop, wait for a really windy day, open both doors and blow it out. :)

I got me a cheap diamond blade tile saw and it's the way to go. I was hoping my Metal cutting bandsaw would work as it would do thicker pieces, but it just laffed at the cobalt tipped blade. With the wet tile saw I have to cut from both sidesa to do anything thicker than about 1 1/4".

Thanks so much guys. It looks like I want to get my diamond trim-saw back from my Mother :). (Maybe it would be easier to just get a new one.)

That looks perfect Chris. I really wanted the option to use my rip fence and miter gauge. I also have a dust collection system and respirator. It'll be messy, but I can get a lot of cutting done in a day. Looks like I'm getting a new blade.

My blade (as recommended by Chris) arrived today. It might be the best money I've ever spent on a tool. It tears though that crap. Having an accurate miter gauge is vital to me, so the tile saw would not have worked as well. (The blade was cheap, too.)

Even with the dust collector, it is dusty. Respirator and ventilation are must-haves.
