Like a lot of folks, I was fairly impressed with the initial budget offerings from Civivi. The Baklash felt particularly good in hand but I couldn't get over the bright blue liners. I emailed the company and I'm guessing that wasn't the first time they heard from someone who wanted a more traditional look. It was one of the few complaints I ever saw about the Baklash.
Well, they listened. They released a more expensive Damascus version without the blue liners a while back. That was cool but still not for me. Today, they dropped two new versions of the Baklash with black liners. One is G10 with a carbon fiber inlay and the other is ebony wood!
I've never owned a knife with ebony wood scales so I ordered one. I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews on these guys.
