The one thing that I found missing on my Civivi Governor was that the lanyard area was not reduced down below the scale, most all of the others with a lanyard area seem to have that done. So what happens is the paracord is above the scale of the handle and prevents the knife being inserted easily onto the pocket.

I've wanted to do this for a while and being 'homebound' now, I figured to cut my losses and give that a try, so I used my band saw to cut the section out, taping the two scales together and then taping that to a small block of wood to help prevent the saw from trying to pull the scales down into the bandsaw. Worked ok, then used some small jeweler files and sand paper to finish it out.

Now the paracord, (had to cut the first one off and tie a new one on), is at the same height as the scales.

and now the cord, which is thicker than normal paracord, this has 11 inner strands, is about even with the scales

I like that the edge begins close to the handle just a really good knife
