With all the unnecessary machining on the blade, It looks like a folding TriAd lock version may be in the future. Not sure how hard swapping blades would be though.

I think they are meant to be disposable, or extremely easy to touch up.

Yeah, I think you're right. Replacement blades come in sets of 3 for $13, not too bad. I guess if you need something to really, really abuse it makes some sense. Would hold up a lot better than regular utility blades that much is clear. Not sure if it’s for me yet, but I can’t dismiss it quite so quickly now...

I didn't notice that. They lost me too. It could be easily fixed though. Aus8 shouldn't add that much to the cost...

Yeah i was thinking why is there a pivot hole there, it serves no function here, unless the blade was designed as folder at the beginning.

IMO disposable blade is like chewing gum, it gives irresponsible people the opportunity to trash the old blade where they stand. Imagine the kinda hazard it leaves in the wild if this kinda knife becomes popular.
