Pauli, That just sucks Maine.
Our super fandangled hi-end front loading washer went out this year after .......2 years. The service guy said it was common, with the new fandangled models.

Pauli-- There might be a thermal overload on the compressor. Look for a red reset button in that area (even underneath). And check your condensor. If it's very dirty you'll have high head pressure that'll open the overload when the compressor gets hot.

And a +1 to they don't make em like they used to. Good luck!

Disclaimer - I know fuck all about electronics well except traffic signals

To me it seems like to fuse is burned out on the pic anove (the black line in the middle)

Konrad is going to buy a fuse and he'll solder it on tomorra - hopefully that fixes it - if not I'm calling the service dude tue and getting a tub of vaseline.

First cut the green wire and then cut the black wire

Wait, wait.....

First cut the the blue wire and then cut the black wire

Ok, ok

First call Konrad and the ignore me:D

I dont see a fuse in that picture.
can you put a mark by it with paintshop?

that round thing towards the top, looks burnt to me,
is a capacitor. the thing just to the left also looks burnt.
if you can read the numer on the circuit board it will help identify
what it is. like C109 is Capacitor D34 is Diode F205 is Fuse 205

well, anyway, the repair guy will be out.
problem is,he may tell you he has to replace the entire circuit board because
these guys dont change the components, just the whole board.

ohhh
second picture just showed up
ya,blown fuse
cant really see if that is a fuse you can replace without soldering

the capacitor at the top does look burnt to me though.

I'm gonna try soldering the new fuse tomorrow, well my buds is however I have small faith that we'll repair it.

I'm thinking more and more along the lines of a new board and a repairmen.

if you can taker a better picture
it "looks" like that fuse has 2 "cups" on the ends
you sometimes can slide them outwards and slip
in a new fuse.
otherwise he just needs to unsolder 1 side

Fuse is def cooked. There probably is a reason. Don't let your friend talk you into putting in a higher rated one. You'll burn down your house.

I would wrap tin foil around the old fuse at stick it back in........you will find the defective part really fast.....
