Cold Steel Peace Keeper 2

Hello guys, I am new to this forum... and this is my first post!
I am looking to buy my first fixed blade knife, I have many folding knives but thought its time for a fixed blade that I can use for different purposes. I mainly use my knives for fishing/camping/work (opening boxes, cutting string/rope).

I saw the Cold Steel Peace Keeper 2 and I liked to look and style of it but found out it was not in production anymore and can't find one to buy.

Can you guys suggest anything similar to that blade/handle look. Also if there is anything else you think will work well please give me some suggestions

I am looking for something under $50

I may be looking at the wrong thing... but looks to me like the peacekeeper 2 is a dagger.... not exactly the best blade type for your listed uses... unless it's for self defense only..
 
You can find them for sale in the "For Sale" section on the forum and various other places from time to time. It is a dual edged push dagger so check your local laws concerning legality before purchasing.

I have one of the original Peacekeeper II's and it stays under my pillow.
 
like everyone said a double edge is bad for utility. i think its more of for people problems. my suggestion if its your first fixed blade... i would go to wal-mart a gun show or outdoor supply store or even a flea market if you have one near you and handle different styles of fixed blades so you can feel in your hand if you like it or if its to big or whatever and also so you can see the sheath. sometimes pictures give people the wrong idea. but thats my opinion.

Smith & Wesson has some low cost double edge knives and so does United Cutlery but im not sure on handle comfort.. also try browsing ebay and amazon just to see whats out there
Budk.com is a good place to browse lower cost knives
 
Thanks for all the help, and its true the double sided blade wont be good for the things I need it for ... I just liked the look of it :D

I'll keep looking around, i'm actually going to a gun show in a month... I'll check out a few of them there.

Ya gotta get the Peace Keeper 1, 7-Inch blade 12+ inches overall. Wicked dedicated fighter if it's anything close to the one I had for over 20 years!
