Well.....I got the Rajah III in the mail this pm. In all the reviews..a point was made about the slick Wave opening. I really can’t tell...because the clip fits so tightly on my pant pocket..I can’t even get it out easily. Afraid if I pull too hard..my fingers might slip on the draw and I could be in for a serious cut! So tomorrow if I have time, I’ll try to open the clip up just a smidge. Till then...it will reside in my pocket..no clip used! I do love the knife though..fantastic blade geometry!

Just a head's up - there is a Cold Steel sub forum.
I like the Rajah III. As you said, the clip is too tight. Same is true of many CS folders. Using a piece of paracord, I carefully bend out the clip until the tension is light but it still rests against the handle. On the G-10 models I sometimes also lightly sand the scale where the clip contacts.

You need to fix that issue. If you don't use the pocket clip than the Wave is pointless but i'm sure you know that. looks like a nice knife though.

Got it working by bending out the clip slightly. Unfortunately got a small scratch on the clip in the process...but this is going to be an EDC for me so just adds character I guess! LOL! The Wave opening feature works fine now and is a really nice feature. Guess the only thing now might be ease of sharpening, which I glean from the forum can be difficult. Have to wait and see. I’m a happy camper now that I have it working properly.

Glad you fixed it up. Looping paracord under the clip to bend prevents scratching.

You can still wave the knife open without clipping it to your pocket. Just snag the thumb plate on the edge of your pocket as you pull it out. That's mostly how I carry my Talwar, rattling around in my pocket, and when I wave it open, that's how.

The paint on CS pocket clips will go off if you just blow air on them ;) Talking about the ridiculous stiffness of those clips, are there any after market clips for CS folders?
