i used to have a tiger claw when they first came out but sold it and regretted it ever since, today i recieved a new one and was very disapointed to see that the blade shape is different, the original had a smooth curved blade while the new one looks like it has a chunk missing out of the spine similar to the cold steel black talon 2, i know its just aesthetics but the whole reason i ordered one again was cause i missed that prfectly curved hawkbill blade and couldnt get it out of my mind, this new one just doesnt look the same

Actually it doesn't resemble a claw anymore.

GSM did it! Clearly this will drive the price of the pre-GSM version up.

Mine waves just fine, the curve of the blade helps, I think other knives could use this more. Would not bother me if I had to buy one though, just not trading mine in for one.

This is AD design, and I don't think it was him who decided to do this mod. I wouldn't mess with it. I understand what some of you are saying, and perhaps I am being too conservative, but I think the benefit, if any, is just marginal, and I just wouldn't touch this beautiful curved blade. No longer tiger claw, I think.

Scored a barely used Tiger Claw for cheap. Wondered why the wave barely worked. Realized the clearance was miniscule compared to my Immortal. Research showed new models with clearance scallop, as well as mods being performed on older models to facilitate the wave.

Few minutes on a belt grinder and you'd never know it but doubled the wave clearance depth.

Really liking this model.

I can appreciate the surprise. Even the picture on Cold Steel's site below doesn't make it clearly visible.

another thing i always wondered about was the different lock that the cold steel tiger claw was supposed to have, before the knife was released with the triad lock there were a few pictures of it showing a different kind of lock like the one pictured here, does anyone know anything about this?
