Cold Steel torpedo

i will be honest...use a good knife and sharpen a stick....much more ultilitarian....fishing spear...defensive tool....hunting spear...walking stick....shelter pole...well you get the idea....besides...its more fun to cut sharpen and temper......

and unless that 2 lbs of 1095 has a handle and a blade that is the perfect knife...i aint even gonna think about it

15" long and pointed on both ends? Does it come with a sheath? I would hate to lug the thing around (at two pounds no less) without a good sheath. I am sure that most state hunting laws do not allow for it either. Looks like a novelty to me. I wouldn't be excited about putting it in my PSK or BOB.

Id buy it for backyard fun but as a survival tool, a knife at half the weigt would have twice the utility. Remember in packing for survival, versatility is very important.

hey Shawn B is the torpedo still a good throwing tool just for fun? how far does it stick into wood? is it easy to throw?

cold steel is full of bias...you can kill almost any animal if you hit the right spot...IMO.

I bought a cold steel, and wont buy one again

Cold Steel used to make another version of the torpedo, 3/4 versus 1 inch. They are both fun to throw, but the little one never hyper extended my elbow. Plus the little one was about 1 1/4lbs.

I made a sheath for mine!
