By far the best and far seeing knife cold steel have made. Why was it dropped and in this age of neck knives is it not being reintroduced.I saw it advertised in 1986 in SOF and Have wanted one ever since.

I vaguely recall them making an Urban Shiv (double-edged) and an Urban Skinner (useful), and wishing they still made the latter as a non-folding pocket knife.

It's a problem marketing a fixed blade knife designed and packaged for concealed carry, optimized for stabbing, and named "Acme Concealed Dirk or Dagger" when the intended use of the product (concealed carrying of a stabbing sort of knife "for protection") is a crime in lots and lots of places, including most places where you might need one.

I bought a Cold Steel Urban Shiv the year they were discontinued. I actually was disappointed with it, as I did not really like how it was ground on only one side with really wedgy bevels, with secondary bevels added to that, if I recall correctly.
At the same time I tried to buy the Urban Hunter, but they had become too scarce for any success.
Last year I finally managed to snag one on the forums from a gentleman who was selling both as a set. He finally split them and let me Have the Urban Hunter, and I was very pleased with my buy. The little clip point is razor sharp, and more utilitarian in usage than the Shiv.
