on_the_edge....That is an interesting Badger you have there. Doesn't look like an LE because of the logo and lack of number. Maybe it was a stripped BAIII?

Love that 870 BTW :)

on-the-edge, is your HP Practical plated or polished? I have never seen one like it before. Very cool!:thumbup:

jimmy, whats it like to shoot that derrringer?

It's a hoot, it doesn't have 'conventional' recoil.

The rifled part of the barrel is less than an inch. With .410 slugs or 00 buck the projectile is almost to the end of the barrel.

It just kinda blows up in you hand, boom, a little push back, but the barrel's to short to develop a bunch of recoil.

In .45 Long Colt, F'n brutal :rolleyes:

Forgot a couple

I have talked to a few of the Old Guard HOGS and haven't been able to find anyone who has ever seen one like it. I don't think it was stripped because then I don't think you'd see the logo. I guess one possibility though is that it was stripped and then the logo was put on afterwards. Still, as I say, those in the know have told me that they don't really know for sure.:(

I think it is nickel plated. I know from the serial number that it was made in 1982 in Belgium by FN Herstal. I inherited the gun from my father in 2006 after he passed. Unfortunately, I don't know much more about it than that, other than of course it is a lot of fun to shoot. If you have any additional info on it, I would love to hear about it. Please PM me or shoot me an e-mail. :)

And BTW folks...
AWESOME PICS!!!

Please keep them coming!:thumbup::cool:
