Hello!

For sale is one of my conan project swords I made.

I worked with another fan to re-create a sword right out of the movie screen for our own collection. He had some plastic reference models of the guard and pommel and I designed the blade and engineered the assembly.
I started with blade blanks and created models and molds of the guard and pommel, then cast wax versions and had them made into bronze (cast solid with a void for the blade to slide through).

-Hand ground blade
-5160 spring steel (professionally tempered to 55RHC by PACMET)
-4" radius fuller
-8" radius hollow ground bevels
-Full tang with welded bolt for pommel attachment
-Engravings were done by a CNC Machinist
-Hardwood handle wrapped in dyed cord
-Total length of sword: 38.5"
-Width of blade is 2.25"
-Weight is 8.75lbs

Price: $1195 (includes shipping to CUSA)

Thanks for looking!

He is the man! Isn't he!! I've had a few chats with him. He's a great guy!

My blades differ from his in the fact that mine are hollow ground. To me, that was a very important aesthetic I wanted.

Beautiful sword! From your pictures, it looks like you are spot on compared to the Albion Atlantean, and obviously much nicer and better quality than the Museum Replicas one. Where were you 10 years ago when I paid more than double for my Albion than what your are asking for your version!

Right!

This one is soooo nice, I bet Arnold himself would endorse it.

(If I were you, I'd try - It could skyrocket the value)

The problem I have is the weight of the sword.. it is extraneous. I am sure it has a lot to do when the fittings... I wonder if there is a way to make Conan's Fathers sword but again light and more Battle capable.

I agree with you, it is heavy compared to a historical, life-defending sword...by 3x! The blade is wide and thick (not much distal taper), it weighs 3.5lbs after it is ground. The bronze is about 4.5lbs.

This is definitely a movie-art sword. It is meant to look awesome and feel awesome. The POB is 4" of the grip...it balances great but has a huge presence to it. I've made a nice wooden plaque with a carved Conan logo on it to display mine.

I've been studying these swords for 10 years. I've never found a handmade, hollow ground replica like the one I made.
