Corkscrew size difference or lemon?

I bought some aftermarket mini scredrivers, and when I screwed one into my Explorer (don't ask me how old :D ) It didn't stop turning like it did for my Climber :confused: Is there a different shape to the corkscrews or is mine just a little defective? (By the way, I tried switching screwdrivers, it's not on that end)
 
The mini screwdriver on my Cybertool 34 stops turning when I use it on the cybertool, but it keeps on turning when I use it on my old Huntsman.
 
I think there have been changes in size and style, if I remember correctly they came with a grooved corkscrew for a while. Also I wonder if Wenger changed theirs to fit the Vic Screwdriver, I could fit one in a new Wenger but not in an old one.
