I saw discussion re sheaths for the 225H <Hole> jigged folding Hunters for both Schrade and Schrade Walden examples.
Photos show the sheaths that did come with my two...but you can take your pick of any that fitted the large Hunter that Schrade produced through those 60's,70's or 80's...Hoo Roo
P.S. Thanks Thawk for showing me how to alter the title spelling on BF..a senior moment.....Old Timers setting in....

Posting these sheath variations is very helpful Larry. Thanks.
in first pic. the sheath 4th from left side is the one i like the best. even taper with rounded bottom. i have a few of these, v. substantial, quite a 'high end' sheath.
i don't have any of the 'odd' one, like a pancake folded over. did this style have a name ? or come with special editions ?
also, were Schrade sheaths made 'in-house' ?
roland

oops, Larry, i see you have in part answered some of above questions in the other thread.
Still would like to know about "in-house" ? and any more about sheath variation history.
roland

G'day Roland, These are the sheath styles you're referring to and I also believe they are the neatest sheath Schrade made.
Here with Herman Williams gorgeous Custom Stag 227UH and 127UH. The Old Timer and Uncle Henry versions....
Codger is the man to tell us all about where Schrade had their sheaths made but I dont think they were 'in house'.....Hoo Roo

Yes those are my favorite of the Folding Hunter sheaths.
i need to get one of the 'folded pancake' style, first post, sheath at bottom left.

G'day, just bringing up this thread as my small tribute to Herman Williams magic. The last two knives in this thread show my unique Herman Williams 127UH and 227UH matched pair, with all brass shields, bolsters, liners and pins with of course those gorgeous toasted stag scales as only he can create. Both these knives were customised some years ago I believe as knife club knives, using old Schrade/Imperial pieces including different shape/style blades on the 227UH. Herman has previously expressed to me his disappointment in supplying many of his prized/beloved collection for the Schrade Wall collection which he set up for Schrade, <Albert and Henry> never contemplating his whole collection would be broken up at some time in the future to maximise the Bankruptcy sale proceeds....it's an ill wind that does not blow some good however, as from my personal collector perspective, without the infamous 'sale' I would never have been able to obtain his beloved mint 2OT and the even more scarce mint 3OT <believed to be only half dozen ever minted> which he had originally owned, and supplied in good faith as part the Schrade Factory Wall collection....at least they remain together to this day in their plush collector box's.....Hoo Roo
