The sales are always 8pm my time. Our clocks changed last weekend. I presume the change is this or next weekend over there. Either way I was an hour out lol. Never mind. I'm a great believer in destiny:).

So I'm all done now, right? Got a Behemother, MC, HDFK, DEF, DEK1 on the way, and now a Boot Dagger on the way. That pretty much covers everything, right?

Can you at least wait like 6 months before coming out with the next must have...my wallet is begging you!:D

Since I'm skipping this one I figure the next one should be no problem to swing. Bring it on! :D

Yes, Paul has interest. He just called and left me a message saying he had one incoming and how many sheaths did I want. I didn’t even come close today, but that isn’t gonna stop me from getting a sheath or two, cuz I know it will happen one way or another.

So, Chad, Bill and Paul will have folks covered from what is sounds like. All excellent choices. (Yes Bill, you are right in there with those two guys, how do you like that? You deserve the spot in my opinion.)

It's a strange phenomenon. I got my first this year, an FK2. I thought some of the collections people show are nuts, but sure enough I soon got a DEF, and then two DEK1 on pre-order. The boot dagger makes five in a pretty short window. For some reason the boot dagger was the only must have. I was questioning why as a grown man I needed to take a few deep breaths at 2:59...

You poor, poor bastard. You’re only about ten to fifteen patterns short of covering the bases, not counting what is yet to come.
Come on in and sit down right here next to me and we can cry together.

Can't wait to have this one here. The photos above are a awesome!

Agree with @Lorien - the choil on this is straight up awesome! The 2d curve instead of a big radius is a nice touch, and belies some real design intent by @Nathan the Machinist. This is not just some scrap turned into a blade. It's legit!

I don't want to speak for Paul, but I'm happy for mine to be used for measurements.
I'm already thinking about the colors etc, I'm sure it will look awesome.

Oh I know I'm missing a bunch, but that's ok. Had a BC and sold it when I got the Behemother. And had a UF but gifted it once I got the DEF. Don't mean to blaspheme, but not really interested in the EDC or the FK...figured the DEK1 was a great compromise between the two. Same with the LC and the HDMC...I'm fine with the MC. Yes I would love a Shiv, potato knife, and integral dagger, but I know that's most likely not ever happening.

The EDC and EDC2 are my most used CPKs and the ones that fit my giant hands the best, surprisingly. Absolutely fantastic knives. And I have the BC, MC, HDFK, FK2, UF, and others. I'd trade them all before I'd get rid of my EDCs. Unless it was for a potato knife. Maybe.

Some of us tend to collect Nathan's semi-custom knives and cutlery as a hobby (when I lazily say Nathan's, I always add up the all very important contributions of Jo and the crew's as over all collective and collaborative efforts). By and large, I think of this being a healthy hobby as the product line is just top-shelf for the price, in fact fantastic and you won't have to break the bank by paying excessively for heavily embellished artsy knives. Collecting them is a real trip and quite a bit of excitement / fun which are the allures in almost any kind of hobby, i.e, the trills of the chase and the pleasures of the catch.

That said, if I was not glued to my friggin 'puter all the time and had a life away from this kinda life, I'd be equally as happy as a piggy rolling in some awfully stinky mud, just with a mere handful of CPKs. Honestly speaking, Nathan and the crew make over lapping pattern which allow an experienced user (not yours truly) pick and choose as to what fits his/her purposes the best. Nathan won't be able to pay all the bills solely relying on those guys if he stays strictly in this niche market (BF.com) but the users of his knives are very well covered by just selecting a handful of CPKs. If it was up to me, I would only sell the user types something like 5 knives minimum at a time to stay afloat :D
