CPK folk are the best folk!

@woodysone : Decided to go with the shorter Ti clip just because it was a bit easier to work with.

Here is the “after photo” and the comment that ergo / feel are greater in the pocket plus when handled. Thank you again Sir

CPK folks are indeed the best folks :):):)

My very sincere and special thanks to Martin AKA @woodysone for reaching out to me after seeing my comment on another sub-forum regarding my search for alternative deeper carry type of aftermarket pocket clips for my newly acquired Spyderco Lum-Tanto folder. Martin reached out to me via private conversation and offered me these 2 x Casey Lynch clips as his gift to me and no matter how much I insisted to reimburse Martin at least for something even a token of my offering for the postage, he would not accept anything from me! In return, to anyone I had promised my proxy bids for, you have been bumped because my next proxy for anything CPK will go to Martin first, after the next scheduled Friday sale for the MC pattern :p

Martin, thank you so very much again Sir as I was totally blown away and humbled by your very generous and friendly offering  I also promise to do my darn best to both pay back and to pay forward. I will update with pics after assembly

^^ How do you like the new low-ride Casinostocks Casinostocks ?

I'm just pocket carrying it around the home based office / work and I like it much better as it sinks right inside the pocket with negligible amount of the folder sticking out of my pocket. I don't pocket carry knives during the day when out of about in town but when out for walks with the GSD during the eve, specially when trekking a bit off the beaten path I'd like to carry a sturdy yet not so obvious pocket knife. This clip lends itself much better to my purposes than the original pocket clip .

^^^Speaking of @woodysone....

He recently laid claim to some nitrile gloves I posted in the "Pay It Forward" thread. He had messaged me asking for my mailing address, since he wanted to send me a little "Thank You" gift - I told him that was not needed or expected, but pointed out my return address on the box if he felt so inclined to send something (I'm not one to look a gift-horse in the mouth or refuse kind gestures).

I got a package yesterday from Martin - and I was completely surprised by the contents. I was expecting a lanyard or a SAK or something small, like that. But he sent me a freakin' Spyderco Mule Team (MT20) in CTS-B70P steel, adorned with some fancy Carbon Fiber scales, copper pins and lanyard tube, wrapped in some fancy pants from Wild-Board Leather (who's based in Toutle, WA - so semi-local to Woodysone and I)!!!

Just awesome! I am completely blown away by his generosity and willingness to share part of his collection with me. As I told Martin, gifts knives such as this find their way into that special part of my collection. They have much more (sentimental) value to me than most other production knives or impulse buys I've purchased for myself, and this one is no exception. The CTS-B70P is a new-to-me steel, though I have a couple other blades featuring CTS (XHP and 204P), but I'm always interested to test out and compare different steels.

Thank you again, Martin - I hope the gloves serve you well and keep your hands clean and somewhat protected!

Cheers to you, my friend! :D

I would like to thank Oyster Oyster for his grand gesture in the Behemoth Chopper sale today! Just to be fully transparent, I passed my claim to the next guy in the sale that was not in on the BC preorder.
The people around here are truly fantastic!

It's one of the reasons I spend most of my Bladeforums time in this sub.
Then there is the CPK team themselves - talented, talented, talented and always a pleasure to deal with.
Of course, the other reason I hang out here is the knives!
Undoubtedly, some of the best product on the market!

Thanks everyone! Have a great weekend!

ETA: I may have misspoke - I passed my claim to the next person I knew was not on the preorder.

Wowzer! No one to be grateful for since Last August? FFS!

OK, I'm here today to pay my sincere thanks and convey genuine gratitude to Mr. Mike Walton AKA Mike157 Mike157 who if you have never had the pleasure to liaise with behind the scenes, is in my book one of the most respectable and respectful Gents on here while being totally unassuming going out of his way, above and over the call of duty, to make a CPK brother very happy.

Last Jan I let this vaunted beast of a beauty to slip through my hands when I had the first dibs opportunity to claim it as one of my own and then been miserable remorseful since then. Months later I contacted Mike to ask him as to whether he'd be open to selling it back to me, not only he did not hesitate but also would not take a dime more for it than what he had paid and also steadfastly refused to accept any shipping fees extra from me and shipped it back to me on his own dime! I owe you Mike and I know that you will refuse to accept, but one day when you are not expecting, I will make good on my "threat" :D

All feast your beady eyes on this spectacular and as already stated vaunted CPK-LC in 4V. This pattern in 4V has a true lineage to the CPK-Keffeler Comp Chopper but also has a pointy tip which I hid so that you CC'ers wouldn't be too jealous :p

Mike, with my sincere thanks again, Mat~

Well, thank you, but how the hell am I ever going to live up to that! My mother must have paid you! And it was a great pleasure doing this transaction with you Mat. All of those things you mentioned could be applied in your direction also. Thank you, also, Lorien, and you too. Mike

Awesome! I recently started a thread elsewhere, "The Circle of Knife". I love how knives seem to migrate in small circles sometimes. Let's face it, we all keep track a little bit about what knives are where. I've got a knife coming back to me on Monday that I did for a guy. It was a custom handle project, maybe one of 4 knives out of a couple hundred, that I've though, "Man, If I could get this one back someday." Love it when things come back around. Nice get, Casinostocks Casinostocks !

I've seen that thread and even thought about making an entry but this one just zigged forth and then zagged back!

My shaking hands (think of Gene Wilder's jail scene in Blazing Saddles :D ) could never draw that path in an actual or proverbial circle ;)

I'd like to shout one out for Gary Graley, (who helped us collate all the names submitted for our HDFK naming thread way back when) for sending me this sweet Thor themed lanyard! It's going to be fun figuring out which knife to put it on

Thanks Gary!
