From our trip to Bass Pro Shops this past Sunday, two things that most young "ladies" like:

My daughter wanted a pink fish, so I got her a betta. My wife won’t allow any filtered tank and said it has to be kept in a bowl. So I added some moss and cherry shrimp and snails to keep it livable. This little bowl has been going for about a year now. Noticed one of the shrimp was carrying a lot of eggs this morning. Can barely see the fish here, he’s hiding in the back.
